Alyona Petrovskaya lives and works in St. Petersburg.
The singer performs folk songs, both traditional and modern, folklore accompanied by traditional folk instruments (balalaika, button accordion, violin, double bass) and modern (guitar, keyboards, drums, bass).
Since 2009, Alyona has been conducting annual solo concerts in St. Petersburg, has repeatedly participated in international song festivals, such as Slavic Bazaar, Romance Festival, Victory Festival (laureate of the audience’s sympathy award), appears on television and radio. In May 2015 she participated in the Festive Concert dedicated to the “70th Anniversary of the Victory over fascism” on the Palace Square in St. Petersburg, participated in the final gala-concert at the State Kremlin Palace.
The press covering musical events calls Alyona Petrovskaya the “direct heiress” of Russian folk singer Lyudmila Zykina, the successor of pop traditions Anna German, Lidia Ruslanova, Valentina Tolkunova, and states that Alyona “has inherited the priceless, sincere, piercing folk style of singing, the ability to speak about the most important in simple words which turn the soul of the audience upside down… ”.
